I knew what JeffLenardson was asking from his first question. It's weird how the replies all seem to be oblivious to what he was asking. If your still listening. No, there is no way to change the size of the ribbon and Microsoft will probably not address this because as you can see, most people don't even notice the issue. I'm using a 1920x1080 resolution and it still bothers me. Not because it I have no space left for messages but because it takes up so much whitespace and it's not customizable.

For a capable company like Microsoft, that's just bad design. Good ground for a designer to create an APP to reduce the size of the Ribbon. I'd pay for that. And it would be safe, because MS has known about this 'screen space waste' problem forever.

They have it in their minds that one interface will (sort of) work for all devices.they know better because phone versions don't work at all like PC/Tablet/laptop versions.Someone PLEASE make an app that lets me control the display size of the ribbon relative to the screen resolution I'm using to actually do the work.Pete A. Mouse mode is what I use. The ribbon is still about twice as high as it needs to be.

And yes, I have three large monitors, but for complex tasks, wasting 20% of your screen height (actually 4' of 18' height-from edge of screen to where the first data row shows up-in Outlook.) In Excel, it is about 3 3/4' top edge to where the column headers are. OneNote is 3 1/2'.I love the functionality of the MS products, but they need to allow users to 'tune' the environment. Turning off the ribbon is NOT an option, at least for those of us who use muscle memory to guide the mouse to the desired command on the ribbon. If they can do Magnifier to dynamically change the size of part of the screen, they SURELY could add the ability to change the ribbon's magnification (negative mag for what I need). They do it for the data parts.Guess we'll just keep on asking.

Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2019 and Office 365 are even less affected by the Windows Theme settings. Font type and colors The size and color of a few Outlook sections and elements can be adjusted via Windows settings.

Hopefully, someone will write a 'ribbon magnifier' app that I can buy.Pete A.

Not only that, but then we had to Install it also, either by right clicking on it, or by installing it with the use of the Control Panel. Not to worry anymore.
